Ninja Van Philippines, a tech-enabled express logistics company, recently held a digitalization training webinar in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry Bureau of Small and Medium Enterprise Development (DTI-BSMED) as part of its commitment to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Digital tools to drive business

In his opening remarks, DTI-BSMED Division Chief Edwin Pasahol highlighted how the joint program with Ninja Van can help make business run and transact with greater efficiency. “In an era of rapid digital transformation, it is crucial for businesses to embrace technology and stay competitive,” Pasahol added.

Co-organized by Ninja Van and DTI as part of the latter’s commemoration of the annual National MSME Week, the webinar introduced free digital platforms that MSMEs across the country can utilize to enhance their digitization efforts and improve their business operations.

One such tool is Sellerwizard, a data and analytics tool by e-commerce solutions provider Sellercraft that helps manage order statuses, optimize inventory, analyze sales performance, and generate reports across multiple platforms. Whether an online seller is selling on Lazada, TikTok Shop, Shopify, Shopee, Zalora or other e-commerce platforms, Sellerwizard provides seamless API integration and conveniently organizes data into one dashboard.

Live selling simplified

Alongside helping business owners optimize operations, the program also discussed tools to streamline workflow in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of live selling. In an earlier study conducted by Ninja Van and Geopost, Filipinos are found to be the most prolific livesellers in the region – 47% do live selling daily, versus a regional average of 31%.

To empower Filipino live sellers, Ninja Van Philippines released the web tool OtterLive, which automates processes like comment capturing and order management. The tool helps ease back-end work for live sellers and enable them to focus on audience engagement. For live sellers unsure how to start, software platforms like LiveChamp can help create scripts for more structured live streams.

Long-term hustle for MSME growth

The Ninja Van E-commerce Digitalization Training Program is the latest initiative in Ninja Van Philippines’ long-standing partnership with the DTI. Over the past year, Ninja Van and DTI have jointly conducted various capability-building programs for MSMEs, such as the DIGIeCONOMY, the company’s first-ever digital summit that supported SME growth and recovery. The company has also conducted financial literacy workshops with the government-owned Small Business Corporation.

Sabina Lopez, Chief Commercial Office at Ninja Van Philippines, said, “This latest initiative is just one of many in our long-term hustle to empower entrepreneurs to adapt and thrive in the dynamic e-commerce landscape. Beyond hassle-free deliveries, we aim to provide them more value by helping them in other areas of their businesses.”
