‘Ang araw ng Tamaraw’

A nationwide launch for a nation-building vehicle

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the all-new Toyota Tamaraw in a nationwide event that took place simultaneously at eight locations across the country (Makati, Pasay, Quezon City, Laguna, Pampanga, CDO, Davao, Cebu). This ‘Proudly Pinoy’ vehicle aims to enhance mobility and commerce, serving as a versatile option for various applications.

The latest generation Tamaraw is first made available in long-wheelbase form, with a shorter wheelbase version to follow. Powered by a 2.4L turbo-diesel engine, TMP is offering four body styles for the long-wheelbase Tamaraw: Dropside, GL Dropside, Aluminum Cargo, and Utility Van. Each variant has distinct payload capacities, making it suitable for various transportation requirements. The Dropside model, for instance, boasts a payload capacity of 1,110 kg, while the Utility Van is designed for carrying 910 kg of cargo. Safety features are a significant focus, with all models equipped with dual SRS airbags, anti-lock brakes, and crumple zones to enhance passenger protection in the event of a collision.

The Tamaraw’s adaptability extends beyond traditional utility, allowing for conversions into a patrol van, ambulance, food truck, or camping vehicle – among others. This flexibility positions it as a practical solution for entrepreneurs and families alike.

Built on the reliable platform of the Toyota Hilux, the new Tamaraw combines durability with modern design. Its pricing range accommodates a variety of budgets, making it accessible to a broad audience. The reintroduction of the Tamaraw reinforces its legacy in the Philippine automotive landscape, promising to meet the evolving demands of users in both personal and commercial sectors.
