Since its official launch in September 2023, Changan Auto has made significant strides in the local market. The introduction of innovative models has been a key focus, including the Changan X7 Plus, the country’s first and only 7-seater crossover. Six months later, at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Changan unveiled the CS15, offering a blend of style, functionality, and smart technology designed for Filipino families.
In October, Changan made a notable appearance at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), showcasing the All-New Hunter REEV, the world’s first range-extended electric pickup. This model is tailored for outdoor enthusiasts and left a lasting impression on attendees.
Changan’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the Philippines is evident through strategic partnerships and new dealerships. In January, the brand partnered with Global Star Motors Corporation (GSMC), resulting in new showrooms in Cebu, Tagbilaran, Tacloban, Dumaguete, and Cagayan de Oro. The opening of a flagship showroom in C5, Pasig City, in July further solidified Changan’s market presence, serving as the largest dealership in the country.
Looking ahead, Changan plans to inaugurate additional dealerships in Alabang and Davao, reinforcing its dedication to enhancing mobility solutions across the archipelago.
