Delbros Group has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility with the donation of solar-powered lights and Kool Boxes to various coastal and remote communities, including fisherfolk in Kalayaan Municipality, as well as personnel from the Philippine Navy, Coast Guard and Army stationed in critical operational areas.

Delbros, a pioneer in logistics, technology, food production and a leader in community development, said the initiative aims to improve working conditions, enhance productivity and ensure the safety of those living and working in geographically remote maritime regions.

A ceremonial turnover took place at Naval Station Jose Andrada, where key representatives from Delbros, the Philippine Navy and other stakeholders gathered to commemorate the donation.

Delbros chairman Jose Eduardo C. Delgado led the formal turnover, highlighting the importance of empowering Filipino communities with renewable energy solutions.

The initiative primarily addresses the fisherfolk’s need for reliable lighting during nighttime fishing and sufficient cold storage solutions to preserve their catch.

The solar-powered lights enable safer nighttime fishing, while the Kool Boxes ensure extended freshness of their harvest, reducing spoilage and increasing market value.

“Equipping coastal communities with tools like solar lights and Kool Boxes not only improves their livelihoods but also contributes to long-term sustainability,” said Delgado. “This donation is part of our mission to create lasting, impactful change where it’s needed most.”

Beyond fisherfolk, Delbros also donated solar lights and Kool Boxes to military and coast guard units in remote areas, including Batanes, Sulu, Sarangani and Palawan. The tools will enhance visibility during night patrols, aid navigation, and improve storage for food and medical supplies, ensuring more effective operations in isolated and high-risk locations.

Vice Admiral Jose Ma Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta, Flag Officer in Command of the Philippine Navy, expressed his appreciation During the handover ceremony.

“Your initiatives towards sustainability and innovation align with our efforts to adapt to the changing demands of modern naval operations. Together, we are not only strengthening the Navy but also ensuring the welfare of the communities we serve,” he said.

Delbros has a long history of supporting national development and environmental responsibility.

“The brave men and women of the Armed Forces represent the best of our country. While not every citizen can serve in the military, we in the business sector have a responsibility to support them,” said Delgado. “We hope these solar-powered lights and freezers make their lives a little safer and perhaps even more comfortable.”

Delbros’ donation highlights its broader sustainability efforts, ensuring that renewable energy solutions are made accessible to communities in need. The company remains steadfast in its mission to support local and national stakeholders while fostering stronger partnerships.

As part of Delbros’ ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the donation is part of a larger-scale effort to uplift underserved communities across multiple regions. The company continues to explore new ways to deploy sustainable, energy-efficient solutions that will make a lasting difference.
