Radical Cars Philippines, in partnership with SEAOIL Philippines, Inc., officially launches its inaugural race season — the 2022 SEAOIL Radical Challenge — this weekend (August 26, 2022) in Clark, Pampanga.
This is the first time Radical PH is hosting a major motorsport competition since its establishment in 2019, officially marking its spot on the map as one of the 14 race series around the globe in line with Radical Motorsport’s “Race The World” initiative.
Dubbed as the fastest race series in the country, the SEAOIL Radical Challenge is the only local race series that will have an all-Radical grid running on SEAOIL Extreme 97 Octane as the official fuel, ensuring maximum performance.
This season also marks the first time SEAOIL is participating as a title sponsor and fuel sponsor for a local race series.
However, the fuel company is no stranger to the local motorsport scene. They have had a good relationship with this season’s race director, Marlon Stockinger, in the past. Marlon was a SEAOIL brand ambassador before his time at Radical and he played a key role in securing the deal that would lead to this partnership between Radical PH and SEAOIL.
Now, both parties are officially working hand-in-hand to bring in a fresh and exciting championship for all Filipino motorsports fans.
The 2022 season will feature three race weekends with each weekend following a three-day format similar to Formula 1. The first and last race weekend will be held at the Clark International Speedway with the second being held in the Batangas Racing Circuit.
The grid will feature a number of well-known names in Philippine motorsport such as Inigo Anton, Mark Bumgarner, and Angie Mead King. Radical Racing Academy graduate Brian Poe Llamanzares will also be participating this season.
Lastly, the remaining spots behind the starting line will be filled by drivers who’ve availed of Radical PH’s Arrive and Drive Program.
It’s an action-packed season ahead for both Radical Cars Philippines and SEAOIL. Both parties are hopeful that this partnership will usher in a new chapter in Philippine motorsport.
