The MIMAROPA region’s sports landscape has been elevated with the recent inauguration of a cutting-edge football field in Romblon. Officially opened by Mayor Atty. Gerard Montojo, this new facility, situated at the Romblon National High School compound, is an international-sized pitch equipped with world-class artificial turf, ready to host professional-level games.
Montojo emphasized the field’s transformative potential: “This new football field will be a catalyst for nurturing young talent and advancing the football culture in Romblon. As the first FIFA-certified pitch in MIMAROPA, it will not only attract youth participation but also position Romblon as a prime location for national events and sports tourism.”
The new field represents a significant upgrade for local athletes, offering them the chance to train and compete on a top-tier surface. E-Sports International, a leading name in sports facility development, constructed the pitch, which boasts a FIFA Quality certificate. This certification ensures the field meets stringent FIFA standards for safety, performance, and durability, thanks to rigorous laboratory and field testing.
