Fnatic Onic tries to stay unbeaten in ML tourney

Fnatic Onic Philippines seeks to stay unbeaten in Week 3 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Season 14 this weekend at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City.

FNOP is now in the solo lead after three games, as Aurora ended Smart Omega’s winning streak with a stunning 2-1 victory in their best-of-three, elimination-round encounters on Week 2.

They will face a dangerous Aurora team, which will have an opportunity to regain the top spot in their coming showdown on Friday.

Over the weekend, Fnatic escaped with a 2-1 triumph against Team Liquid.

Omega and Aurora now share second spot at 3-1.

In Game 1, Fnatic took the lead off an 18th-minute lord dance, with King “K1NGKONG” Perez (Ling) taking the objective, Borris “Brusko” Parro (Minotaur) pulling off a decisive 4-man Minoan Fury, leading to a 4-1 advantage.

Duane “Kelra” Pillas (Ruby) unleashed a 19th-minute base turret siege, and a maniac killing streak that gave him the Game 1 MVP title with his 8-1-10 Kill-Death Assist score.

In Game 2, Brusko (Tigreal) turned the tables in their favor with a crucial two-man Implosion setup on the 13th minute mark.

A decisive 4-0 wipeout for Team Liquid PH, followed, allowing Fnatic secure the win.

Meanwhile, the decisive moment for Aurora came in Game 3, following a 1-1 deadlock after Game 2 of their BO3 affair.

In the 11th minute, and with a total of six kills to his credit, Jan “Domeng” Delmundo, using the character Moskov, eliminated Nowee “Ryota” Macasa, to take the lord objective.

From there, Aurora executed a base turret siege early in the 13th minute, to seize the series win.
