PASIG CITY—Eight Department of Justice prosecutors, two National Bureau of Immigration head agents, one chief parole probation officers and one representative from the Land Registration Authority joined forces for DOJ Justice Boosters team led by Presidential Commission on Good Government Commissioner Reynold Munsayac to topple the team of generals and colonels, the AFP Cavaliers, on Sunday in the continuation of the UNTV Cup Off Season Executive Face Off at the Pasig City Sports Center.
Lipa City OIC City Prosecutor Nonilon Tagalicud piled up a production of 23 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals to lead the Justice Boosters against the Cavaliers for their 2nd victory, 92-82.
This is the second time Prosecutor Tagalicud was hailed as the Best Player of the Game.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Reynold Munsayac, Chief Joey Gernale, and Assistant City Prosecutor Julius Gaurano combined for 34 points.
The absence of Brigadier General Gener del Rosario (AFP’s main gunner) and others were a big loss for the AFP Cavaliers on that game.
This is why even though the Cavaliers managed to tie the game at 53 points in the middle of the 4th quarter, they still fell short.
Meanwhile, the PNP Responders gunned down the Senate Sentinels, 85-65 for their 2nd win.
In the first game of Sunday’s triple header, Judiciary Magis got their first win after defeating the BOC Transformers in final score, 90-59.
