“There’s still a lot for me to achieve. There’s a lot of big tournaments lined up,” said Eala at the end of her three-week visit in Manila.

Eala is set to join and make her debut in the 2025 Canadian Open championships, which start this weekend, with the women’s event taking place at the IGA Stadium in Montreal.

Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula are among the seeded players in this event.

This will be her third WTA 1000 level tournament after having seen action in the Madrid Open and Italian Open.

Her presence in WTA 1000 events was made possible following her impressive Miami Open run,

Her world ranking of no. 56 in the world, has automatically given Eala a slot into the 96-player main draw.

“Of course, I hope to get my first grand slam win,” added Eala on her coming events.

Eala will also be in the Cincinnati and the Mexico Open in the coming weeks.
