Classes in some areas of Leyte and Samar have been suspended today due to inclement weather.
In Tacloban City, Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez ordered yesterday the suspension of classes at all levels in both public and private schools.
The decision was made due to continuous rainfall and flooding in several parts of the city caused by the ongoing shear line affecting Eastern Visayas.
Public and private classes were also canceled in the following areas: Daram, Samar, all levels; Northern Samar province, all levels, public and private; Palo, Leyte, all levels, public and private; Tabontabon, Leyte, all levels, public and private; Tacloban City, all levels, public and private; Tanauan, Leyte, all levels, public and private; and Tolosa, Leyte, all levels, public and private.
