Quentin Millora-Brown, the towering Fil-Am center, proved to be the hero of the game. With 11.3 seconds left on the clock, he calmly sank two crucial free throws to secure the victory for UP. Millora-Brown finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Both teams showcased impressive performances throughout the series. Francis Lopez and JD Cagulangan led the Maroons’ offensive charge, scoring 12 points each. Cagulangan’s unique journey, from a former La Salle Green Hills player to a UP star, added an intriguing subplot to the finals.

On the other side, Mike Phillips was a standout for the Green Archers, contributing 18 points. However, the absence of a dominant performance from Kevin Quiambao, who was closely guarded by the Maroons’ defense, hindered La Salle’s efforts.
