Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon is set to return to international screens in the second season of the psychological thriller “Nine Perfect Strangers,” joining a high-profile cast led by Oscar winner Nicole Kidman and “Crazy Rich Asians” star Henry Golding.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, the actress expressed her proud and excitement to represent the Philippines on the international stage once again.
“I’m so happy, I’m so excited and thrilled. I don’t think it’s just happening to me, it’s happening to all of us kasi parang ito na ‘yung chance natin to be in the world. Sobra akong excited that it’s the Nicole Kidman,” said Dolly.
Set in a remote wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps, the new season will follow nine guests under the care of the enigmatic Masha Dmitrichenko, played once again by Kidman. A series of teaser images released Friday revealed a new batch of strangers preparing to undergo Masha’s unorthodox methods of transformation.
The second season will also feature Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, and Christine Baranski.
De Leon rose to global acclaim in 2022 for her role in the Palme d’Or-winning “Triangle of Sadness” and became the first Filipino to be cast in the series created by David E. Kelley and produced by Kidman’s Blossom Films.
