Comedy actress Kiray Celis won the “Breakthrough Performance” award at the recent Wu Wei Taipei International Film Festival.
In a post shared on her Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 1, Kiray expressed her disbelief and gratitude for winning another award for her role in Malditas in Maldives.
“Nu’ng nanalo ako sa Japan ng first international award ko, sobrang thankful nako! Ni hindi na pumasok sa isip ko na sana may kasunod pa. Pero eto ako, nanalo ako sa Wu Wei Taipei International film festival ng ‘Breakthrough Performance’ sa movie namin na Malditas in Maldives! Waaaaah! Tapos nanalo pa ng ‘Best picture’ ‘yung movie namin.”
In May, Kiray won the Best Versatile Comedienne award at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Nagoya, Japan.
Malditas in Maldives also won the Best Picture award at the film festival in Taiwan.
