Multimedia star Nadine Lustre expressed gratitude for 71st Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards nominations for her films Deleter and Greed, which earned a total of 11 nods from the prestigious award-giving body.
Techno-horror film Deleter directed by Mikhail Red, starring Nadine Lustre and Louise Delos Reyes, received eight nominations across both acting and technical categories, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress (Delos Reyes), Best Director ( Red), Best Screenplay (Nikolas Red and Mikhail Red), Best Editing (Nikolas Red), Best Cinematography (Ian Alexander Guevara), Best Musical Score, and Best Sound.
VivaMax film, suspense-drama Greed directed by Yam Laranas, and also stars Nadine together with Diego Loyzaga received three nominations: Best Actress (Nadine), Best Actor (Diego Loyzaga) and Best Production Design (James Rosendal).
Nadine is nominated for Best Actress alongside recently-signed VAA artist Heaven Peralejo.
“Jumping on this a bit late… it feels so so unreal. Truly grateful for all the nominations FAMAS Awards,” Nadine said in a social media post.
Meanwhile, another VivaMax film, suspense-thriller Reroute directed by Law Fajardo and starring Cindy Miranda, John Arcilla, and Sid Lucero also received six nominations including Best Actor (Arcilla), Best Supporting Actor (Lucero), Best Production Design (Fajardo), Best Editing (Fajardo), Best Cinematography (Joshua Reyes) and Best Sound.
In a statement sent to Manila Standard Entertainment, Viva said it will continue to produce top-quality films for the Filipino audience as it continues to expand its variety of offerings with projects from Viva Films, VivaMax, and the recently-launched Studio Viva.
Expect more award-worthy projects to come in the future, including Call Me Alma which is written by National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee and directed by McArthur Alejandre. The movie starring Jaclyn Jose, Azi Acosta, Mon Confiado, Josef Elizalde, Gold Aceron, and Aiko Garcia premiered at Cinema Felipe (PICC) on August 10.
