The second night of Gary Valenciano’s concert, “Pure Energy: One More Time,” proceeded as scheduled tonight, Dec. 22, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
In a statement posted on Gary’s official Facebook account on Sunday, talent management company Manila Genesis confirmed that the performer is ready to take the stage despite health concerns that interrupted the first night of the concert series on Friday, Dec. 20.
“I will be at the Araneta today. No weapon formed against me will prosper,” Valenciano said in the statement.
Manila Genesis extended gratitude to fans for their support and understanding during the uncertainty following Friday’s abrupt halt to the show.
“Thank you, everyone, for your prayers, especially our DEC 22 ticket buyers, for your patience and understanding,” the statement continued.
The company apologized for the delay in confirming the continuation of the concert, emphasizing that the decision was made after careful consideration and “much prayer.”
The first night of “Pure Energy: One More Time” was unexpectedly cut short after Valenciano experienced a medical condition mid-performance.
