Actor and singer Marlo Mortel released a teaser for his upcoming music video, Huling Ngiti, featuring actress Janella Salvador, which appears to be inspired by the hit Wattpad novel I Love You Since 1892.
The teaser shows the two sitting on a bench as Salvador mentions the name Juanito, a reference to Juanito Alfonso, a central character in the book.
Written by Binibining Mia, I Love You Since 1892 tells the story of Carmela Isabella from 2016, who is sent back to 1892. While trying to return to her time, she meets and falls in love with a young man named Juanito Alfonso.
Notably, both Salvador and Mortel were featured on the book’s covers when it was published in parts by ABS-CBN Books in 2018. Fans have since requested a live adaptation starring the pair, which they said they were open to in a Q&A video posted on Mortel’s YouTube channel.
The Huling Ngiti music video will premiere on Star Music’s official YouTube channel on Oct. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
