Newport World Resorts is hosting a two-night concert titled The Hit Society on July 12 and 13 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, featuring the timeless music of two iconic Filipino groups: The Hitmakers and APO.
These legendary acts have left an indelible mark on the OPM scene, delighting audiences with their chart-topping hits that span decades of Filipino music history.
The Hitmakers, composed of Hajji Alejandro, Marco Sison, Rey Valera, and Nonoy Zuñiga, are renowned for their soul-stirring love songs such as Alejandro’s “Nakakapagtataka,” Sison’s “Make Believe,” Valera’s “Maging Sino Ka Man,” and Zuñiga’s “Never Ever Say Goodbye.”
Sharing the stage with The Hitmakers are Jim Paredes and Boboy Garovillo from APO, whose songs have bridged generations with classics like “Panalangin,” “Awit ng Barkada,” and “´Batang Bata Ka Pa.”
The concert promises an unforgettable evening filled with nostalgic melodies and vibrant performances, as both groups showcase their greatest hits through solo performances and collaborative sets.
