Korean boy group BTOB returned to Manila for their concert on Sunday, April 7, bringing a sweet surprise for their Filipino fans.
During their “Our Dream” concert, the group’s main vocalist, Eunkwang, delighted the audience at SM Mall of Asia Arena by singing P-pop powerhouse SB19’s hit song “Mapa.”
In videos circulating on social media, Eunkwang expressed his desire to perform a cover of an Original Pilipino Music (OPM) song. He then confidently belted out lines from the song, showcasing his impressive vocal range.
The crowd erupted in screams, recognizing and appreciating the gesture. Eunkwang even attempted a few Tagalog words, adding another layer of endearment for their Filipino fans, also known as Melody (or Melodies).
Eun-kwang is one of the members of BTOB, alongside Minhyuk, Changsub, Hyunsik, Peniel, and Sungjae. The group debuted in 2012 under Cube Entertainment. They decided not to renew their contract with the company after 11 years.
