Following her earlier teasers last month about new music and the next chapter of her hit 2022 album, “Renaissance”, American singer-songwriter Beyoncé surprised fans on Tuesday, March 12, as she revealed the title of her upcoming country album, “Act II: Cowboy Carter.”.

Dropping on March 29, Queen B updated her Instagram bio with the album title and release date and shared a photo on her story hinting at her musical shift to country music.

The image showcases a saddle, transforming from the disco-inspired one on the Renaissance’s cover to a Western style, symbolizing her artistic evolution.

The same image also took center stage on Beyoncé’s website where fans can pre-order merchandise and the album, and even discover alternate artwork featuring close-up portraits of the multi-Grammy award winner sporting a black cowboy hat along with four vinyl variants in red, white, blue and black.

The excitement surrounding Act II: Cowboy Carter began back in February during the Super Bowl when Beyoncé appeared in a Verizon commercial

She followed up the ad with a social media teaser hinting at the release of Act II of Renaissance. The visuals, reminiscent of the 1984 cult classic Paris, Texas, sent fans into sparking speculation about a country music direction.

To solidify these suspicions, Beyoncé quickly dropped two country-infused tracks, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages”.
