Filipino singer-songwriter JK Labajo‘s track “ERE” has made a strong debut on the Spotify Global Chart, possibly following in the footsteps of his massive hit “Buwan.” It secured the 177th spot on the chart with 1.2 million streams, marking it as the highest-ranking new entry on the Top Songs Global list.

“ERE” is one of the nine tracks of his newly-released album, “Sad Songs and Bulls**t”.

The ‘Senior High’ star shared that the album was originally composed of 18 songs.

“But then we’ve decided to divide them into two parts, so everyone has time to digest each track. Part 2 will come in early next year,” explained JK.

The album also contains the songs “may halaga pa ba ako sayo??”, “Manhid”, “Paruparo”, “Gabi”, “Time Machine”, “Lumisan”, and “Tapusin Na Natin To,” which features Ben&Ben’s Paolo Benjamin.

In his Instagram post, JK talked about the inspiration behind his album and described it as a compilation of all the love songs he made for someone he gave so much of himself.

“A collection of all the words I wrote and the melodies that came along with it. Eventually, things didn’t turn out the way I hoped for,” JK wrote.

“The songs started to not make any sense. all the songs for love turned into songs for sadness. For me at least, they just became a bunch of bulls**t. Hence, Sad Songs and Bulls**t,” he added.

On the other hand, “ERE” tackles about of loving and losing someone. It was released in September 2023 and has since become a popular song in the Philippines.

JK is currently having his “The Sad Tour” to promote his latest album.
