Celebrity fortune teller Madam Auring dies at 80

Celebrity fortune teller Madam Auring, or Aurea S. Erfelo in real life, has passed on. She was 80.

Her grandson Daryl Simon Pecson confirmed the demise of Madam Auring in a series of posts on Facebook on Friday, Oct. 30.

"Grabe ang pinag daanan mo during your senior years pero you still worked hard for your family (us) I feel sad and happy," Simon says in his social media post. 

Born March 11, 1940, Madam Auring was known in the Philippines for her work as a fortune teller and actress. It's known in the entertainment circle that she had predicted the victory of Muhammad Ali in the “Thrilla in Manila” fight and the Miss Universe win of Spanish beauty queen Amparo Munoz in 1974.
