Host-actress Kris Aquino revealed she now has nine diagnosed autoimmune diseases, which five of them she described as life-threatening, in an Instagram update over the weekend.
The 53-year-old shared a photo of herself in a wheelchair at Makati Medical Center, where she underwent a procedure to insert a PICC line. She clarified it was her vascular surgeon’s choice to do it there, not diva behavior on her part.
“Contrary to what you may assume, I am NOT a ‘diva’ patient,” she wrote.
Kris said her medical team has expanded due to the complexity of her condition. Despite the challenges, she’s slowly regaining her appetite and considers reaching 88 pounds a “win.” She also thanked friends like Jessica Soho for sending nourishing meals.
The actress then expressed gratitude to ex-boyfriend Dr. Mike Padlan for being by her side during the procedure, though he declined to remain part of her core medical team.
“I am sad that you declined to remain as one of my lead physicians, but I do understand what you meant when you said to ’LET ME GO,’” she stated.
“Mahirap talaga kapag magkaibang mundo ang pinanggalingan at nakasanayan,” Kris added.
The “Queen of All Media” went public with their breakup in March, weeks after attending the People of the Year 2025 awards—her first public appearance in nearly two years.
