“I have no connection whatsoever to any fraudulent activity, and I categorically deny these baseless accusations. If anything, I am also a victim, and I am determined to seek justice,” she stated.

The case is reportedly linked to the same company involved in the recent arrest of actress and entrepreneur Neri Naig. However, Rufa Mae did not provide details about her alleged involvement or how she might have been victimized.

“It is disheartening to see my name being dragged through the mud, but I remain steadfast and confident that the truth will soon prevail,” she added.

Meanwhile, Rufa Mae’s lawyer, Atty. Mary Louise Reyes, confirmed that the actress plans to voluntarily surrender to authorities and post bail as part of her legal strategy.

“I will cooperate fully with the authorities and face this issue through the proper legal forum. Rest assured, I will fight for my name and reputation,” Rufa Mae said in closing.
