Korean superstar j-hope of global sensation BTS will be discharged from the military in a few days, according to his label.
In a statement shared by BIGHIT Entertainment on the fan community app Weverse, the label confirmed that the BTS member is set to return on Thursday, October 17, after serving in the military for over a year.
“We are excited to bring you the news of j-hope’s upcoming military discharge. j-hope is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged,” the statement read.
BIGHIT also urged fans to avoid visiting the site to welcome j-hope, citing concerns about overcrowding.
“No special events are planned on the day of j-hope’s discharge. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” the company added.
“We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for j-hope. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists,” BIGHIT concluded.
j-hope will be the second BTS member to complete his military service, following Jin’s discharge on June 12. Meanwhile, fellow members Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are currently fulfilling their military duties.
