Showbiz couple Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco drew laughs with their comedic parody of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ trending “Rendezvous” video.
Shared on their Instagram account, the couple’s parody video features the same black-and-white motif and music as the original. It includes several sensual shots between Cantiveros and Francisco, as well as their glamorous looks for the Preview Ball 2024, but with more comical expressions compared to Rivera and Dantes.
The video ends with Cantiveros gesturing to her husband to stay silent while their daughters, Mela and Stela, and other family members are revealed to be sleeping in the same room.
“Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Dingdong and Marian Dantes for the inspiration. Pre-Halloween special treat,” the post’s caption reads.
Fellow celebrities like Jolina Magdangal, Alexa Ilacad, Bianca Gonzales, and many others expressed how much the video made them laugh, while some hoped to see a film starring the comedic couple in the near future.
Rivera and Dingdong’s “Rendezvous” video was originally posted to showcase the couple’s stunning looks for the GMA Gala 2024 on July 20.
