The management of Nation’s Girl Group announced on Monday that they are actively pursuing legal action against individuals responsible for creating and spreading deepfake content featuring the group’s members.
BINI’s fanbase, known as BLOOMs, expressed their outrage and support for the group online, demanding an end to these harmful acts.
“We strongly condemn these harmful actions. Our team has already taken steps to remove some of these accounts. We are working with the proper government agencies and authorities to identify the individuals behind these acts and pursue legal action,” the agency wrote in a statement.
The management emphasized that the safety and well-being of the “Nation’s Girl Group” are their top priorities.
“Such actions are not only harmful but also illegal. Our team has already taken steps to remove some of these accounts and is working closely with authorities to identify and prosecute those involved,” they added.
“We will continue to monitor and take all necessary measures against any form of exploitation or harassment,” the post continued.
This is not the first time the group has faced online harassment. In a previous incident, Star Magic, the group’s talent agency, issued a stern warning to online bullies, threatening legal action.
Attorney Joji Alonso, Star Magic’s legal counsel, confirmed that they are actively working with government agencies and private service providers to gather evidence and hold perpetrators accountable.
