Actress Bela Padilla has expressed her annoyance over the fake news spreading about her supposed wedding with her boyfriend Norman Bay.
In a series of posts on social media, Padilla clarified that the video was clickbait and urged her fans to report the account for spreading fake news.
“Nothing to ruin your day like getting congratulatory messages from your people you know cause a Youtube account keeps posting clickbait videos that you got married. Not married yet, guys. Save the congratulations for another day,” Padilla said in her Instagram story.
YouTube channel CELEBRITY NEWS PH posted the video last June 13, claiming that Padilla and Bay tied the knot in a church in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It showed a series of wedding photos as well as supposed heartfelt messages from Padilla’s friends Angelica Panganiban and Kim Chiu.
However, the wedding photos shown in the video were from a scene in the 2019 TV series “Sino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa,” which Padilla previously starred in. Padilla and Bay’s names were also incorrectly spelled as Bella Padilla and Norman Way in the video’s title.
Padilla is part of the cast of the action thriller series “Pamilya Sagrado” as Cristine Malonzo.
