Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez said he has no intention of running for the Senate in the 2025 midterm elections.
‘Maybe I’ll just stay in the 1st district of Leyte. I’ll just do my work because there’s still a lot to be done in the district,” he told reporters in an impromptu interview after the groundbreaking ceremonies for the new hemodialysis building at the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI).
The House leader is on a third and final term as Leyte 1st district representative next year.
Romualdez also shrugged off questions about the possibility of running for President in the 2028 elections.
“That’s still far,” he said.
