As the holiday season approaches, GMA Network continues its tradition of bringing hope and joy with its 2024 Christmas Station ID, “Ganito Ang Paskong Pinoy: Puno ng Pasasalamat.”
The four-minute film, released on Nov. 11, brings together the network’s leaders, employees, and celebrities in a celebration of Filipino customs while highlighting thankfulness and the spirit of giving.
The GMA Kapuso Foundation’s “Give A Gift: Alay sa Batang Pinoy” initiative, which asks contributors to give Noche Buena food boxes to underprivileged kids and families, is the centerpiece of this campaign. The project highlights the station’s goal of encouraging Filipinos to spread the blessings of the season by focusing on giving back.
The Station ID also marks GMA’s preparation for its 75th anniversary, celebrating decades of support from its loyal audience. Kapuso celebrities like Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Alden Richards, Michael V., Dennis Trillo, and Jennylyn Mercado join forces with executives, led by Chairman Felipe L. Gozon and President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., in this touching video to capture the warmth of Filipino family reunions through heartfelt moments of togetherness.
The campaign’s festive atmosphere extends to appearances by a wide array of Kapuso personalities, from seasoned journalists Jessica Soho and Mel Tiangco to stars such as Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana, Rayver Cruz, Sanya Lopez, and David Licauco. Emerging talents and fan favorites, including SB19’s Pablo and Stell, Gabbi Garcia, and Billy Crawford, also lend their presence, alongside Kapuso employees and members of the Kapuso Brigade.
Other artists taking part in the celebration include Khalil Ramos, Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista, Richard Yap, Michelle Dee, Rhian Ramos, Glaiza de Castro, Rabiya Mateo, Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, Megan Young, Mikael Daez, Sofia Pablo, Allen Ansay, Rocco Nacino, Katrina Halili, and Kim Atienza, among many more. Helping to spread the spirit of gratitude further are other network officers and employees, plus members of the Kapuso Brigade.
“Ganito Ang Paskong Pinoy: Puno ng Pasasalamat” is brought to life by Julie Anne San Jose alongside a stellar lineup of Kapuso singers, including Aicelle Santos, Rita Daniela, Jessica Villarubin, Hannah Precillas, Mariane Osabel, Garrett Bolden, Anthony Rosaldo, Thea Astley, John Rex, and Cloud 7.
The lyrics were crafted by Christine Autor, Natasha L. Correos, Joe-Edrei Cruz, Ann Margaret Figueroa, Lorraine Intes, and Samantha Toloza, with music composed and arranged by Correos, Cruz, and Figueroa.
