Pop heartthrob Darren Espanto celebrated a decade of musical career with the highly anticipated tenth-anniversary concert D10 at the Araneta Coliseum on June 1. The concert was a sold-out success, drawing fans, celebrities, and friends eager to celebrate his achievements.

The one-night show featured a diverse setlist spanning his career, including hits from his debut album and trending covers. Special guests included his thirteen-year-old self from The Voice Kids, his coach Sarah Geronimo, co-finalist Lyca Gairanod, and OPM legends Ogie Alcasid and Gary Valenciano with crooner Erik Santos.

Darren described the concert as a dream come true. “We’ve done several special events at Araneta before, but it’s different when it’s your show,” he said.

Currently, Darren is a mainstay in the noontime show It’s Showtime. He shared how he balances his commitments, saying, “Having a routine helps me start my day. Showtime first, then rehearsals. It prepares me and calms my nerves.”

Darren is also acting, recently playing Stephen Tanhueco in Can’t Buy Me Love, involving a love triangle with characters played by Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan.

Looking ahead, Darren expressed excitement for future projects and collaborations, naming artists like Martin Nievera and Regine Velasquez. He teased new recordings under Star Music and aspirations for global performances, akin to his appearance in Singer 2019.
