Shaira’s hit song “Selos,” which took the internet by storm, is set to return to online streaming platforms soon.

In a video posted on the Moro singer’s Facebook on Tuesday, April 9, she confirmed the news addressing the copyright issues surrounding the viral hit.

She also mentioned that she and her team reached an agreement with the team of Australian singer Lenka, whose song “Trouble Is A Friend” shared similarities with “Selos”.

“We are close to bringing back the song ‘Selos’ to online streaming platforms along with other songs from our production,” the Moro singer said.

She clarified that no legal actions were taken against her and described her discussion with Lenka’s team as calm and peaceful, resulting in an agreement on the song’s release.

Previously, “Selos” was removed from digital streaming due to copyright concerns. Despite facing online criticism, Shaira, also known as the “Queen of Bangsamoro Pop,” sees it as a learning experience as a new artist in the music industry.

“As a local artist who is still new to the music scene, these events have been a lesson for us,” she added.

She expressed gratitude for the support received since “Selos” went viral, appreciating fans’ renditions of the song. Shaira hopes the song’s return will benefit not only her but also other Bangsamoro artists and Filipino musicians.

“Let’s just be happy because this is not only for me but also for my fellow Bangsamoro artists and fellow Filipinos,” she said.
