Live Nation has announced the Asian leg of the Petals to Thorns Tour concert headlined by d4vd kicking off in Singapore on November 27, followed by shows in Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Seoul.
d4vd, born David Burke, emerged as a visionary artist just one year after he began writing and recording heart-piercing tracks alone in his sister’s closet in Houston, Texas. He developed his eclectic taste in rap and indie music through internet wormholes and fan-made Fortnite videos on YouTube, which he started creating as a homeschooled teenager. He has released a variety of singles spanning indie-alternative, pop, and R&B genres.
The 18-year-old artist achieved a breakthrough hit in the summer of 2022 with the RIAA Platinum-certified melancholic indie rock song “Romantic Homicide.” Despite being recorded entirely on an iPhone, the track reached No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and led to his signing with Darkroom/Interscope even before graduating high school.
His slow-building beachy ballad, “Here With Me,” followed suit, breaking into the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2023 and quickly achieving RIAA Gold Certification. His debut EP, Petals To Thorns, establishes d4vd as a genre-defying newcomer. This is affirmed by his recent inclusion in Billboard’s 21 Under 21 honor list.
After the success of his spring headline tour, The Root of it All, which sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale, and a string of successful European tour dates, d4vd is set to bring his Petals To Thorns tour to larger stages in the US than ever before. Notably, he also delivered a showstopping performance at the Valentino Men’s SS24 Fashion Week show in Milan during his European run.
