Screen star Lovi Poe admits that watching Flower of Evil, topbilled by Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won, has helped her to effectively portray her role in the local adaptation of the hit series. The original version has become one of her favorites.
“The excitement is there all the time. I really liked the original version of Flower of Evil and doing this reboot with this amazing cast is just wonderful,” Lovi avers.
The plot of the popular soap opera is about a married couple who seems to have a perfect family when in truth, the husband has a dark secret.
Working opposite Piolo Pascual gives the actress some sort of inspiration, especially since it’s her first major project as a Kapamilya.
“Piolo is my ‘Mahal.’ I guess, until now, I still carry my character in the program,” she says.
Lovi also reveals that she became more excited to see the plot unfolds after watching the series’ two first episodes.
“It was like my excitement level reached 100 percent. It’s there where I saw the quality. Of course, when we were doing the shoot, we were jumping from one scene at a time, so, it was hard to imagine the continuity,” she states.
“But after watching the first two episodes, I was really very excited for everyone to see it. That was just the tip of the iceberg. It’s like a build-up and
we’re just getting to the most thrilling part,” she ends.

Xian Lim is both happy and proud with his maiden directorial project, the Viva Films fantasy-comedy Hello, Universe, which stars Janno Gibbs, Anjo Yllana, and Sunshine Guimary.
“Indeed, this is a huge honor. As a kid, they’re my idols. It’s great because you know they’ll give their all for the movie,” Xian says alluding to the cast of the upcoming film.
“You can really see the passion and enthusiasm in their eyes. It’s such an honor to be working with them. Just to be graced by their presence for them to bring years of experience in the showbiz industry to our material is simply amazing,” he states.
Clearly, Xian is completely inspired doing his maiden venture into film directing.
“I was talking with the production team. According to them, there’s a big difference from when they first read the material until such time that the cast breathed life into the characters. It seems as if it had a new life.”
