Because of their realistic and endearing portrayal as lovers caught between their warring families in the mold of Romeo and Juliet in the hit ABS-CBN prime time soap opera titled You’re My Home, many are curious if JC de Vera has, by now, fallen for Jessy Mendiola since they have been constantly together during tapings.
“Well, first of all, I’m thankful to the public for supporting our tandem. The positive feedback is simply encouraging. I’m glad that even if this was just our maiden team-up, we were able to build some sort of a fan base. Jessy and I are grateful for this.
“As to the query if I’m in love with her, I guess, we just have that strong chemistry on screen that’s why it appears believable. At this point, my focus is on my career. Now that good projects are coming my way, I don’t want to squander or waste any single chance. It’s unfair to me if I won’t have a crack at all these opportunities. Above anything else, I want to prioritize myself right now,” he says.
Despite the fact that their followers are sad because You’re My Home will soon end, the handsome actor has some good news.
“We were just advised that Star Cinema is preparing a movie for me and Jessy. We’ll have a story conference in two weeks’ time. Isn’t it a wonderful development?”
Could it be that he’s thinking about JM de Guzman and he feels it wouldn’t look good to pursue Jessy?
“For the record, I haven’t had the chance to get close to JM. Our paths haven’t crossed yet. I’m still new in the Kapamilya stable and I haven’t known or worked with all of its talents yet. So no, he’s not a factor. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I just want to concentrate on my career. I have dreams to fulfill!”
JC wants to secure his future. “That’s the reason why I work so hard at this point,” he avers. “I’m a goal-driven guy. Right now, I’m trying to secure a bright future for my family and myself. I always motivate myself with questions like, ‘Where will I be five or 10 years from now?’ I don’t care if I work like a dog at present if it means a comfortable life in the future!”
JC is starting to invest his earnings from the ‘biz wisely.
“I’m working on a property investment now, plus build and sell. I would also like to enter the burger chain industry. There are a lot of business opportunities I’m looking into actually. That’s why I want to save, save and save!”
According to the good-looking hunk, he just wants to enjoy the fruits of his labor when he reaches his forties.
“That’s true! My biggest dream is to build a business empire in which two generations can survive and live comfortably. I know it’s huge but I make it as an inspiration and motivation to keep going,” ends JC.

According to Albie Casino, it’s no big deal for him if he wasn’t the original choice for the role of Jigs in the highly successful ABS-CBN soap On the Wings of Love that ended up with Arjo Atayde.
“I believe that it was meant to be like that. He was cast in Ang Probinsiyano instead and he did well while I also made good impressions in OTWOL. There should be no issue because we both nailed our roles in the said projects. It worked for both of us,” he states.
The handsome young star is thankful that he became part of the hit James Reid-Nadine Lustre starrer.
“I wouldn’t deny that because of the role, I became more visible on TV and had more offers. I’m really thankful!”
Speaking of projects, he is part of the upcoming indie movie Magtanggol where he shares the screen with Dina Bonnevie and Tom Rodriguez.
“It’s an honor and privilege to act alongside Ms. Dina and Tom. They’re respected thespians and I’ve learned so much from the experience. Being the black sheep in the family, I provide the conflict in the story. I hope the viewers will support the film, which will be shown on April 27. It’s a timely movie with a message,” says Albie.
