Cagayan town fiesta starts with mass, tree-planting

Tuao, Cagayan – The local government of Tuao started celebrating the Tuao East Patronal Town Fiesta and Parabur Festival in honor of San Roque with a mass of appreciation and a tree-planting ceremony along the Chico River and Mambacag.

Locals and visitors participated in the week-long celebration with the theme “Beautiful Tuao.”

Cagayan Governor Manuel N. Mamba, the First Lady of the Province, Mabel Villarica-Mamba, Mayor of Tuao, Mayor William N. Mamba, Vice Mayor Francisco N Mamba Jr. led the opening ceremonies, along with the employees and officials of the town and other government personnel from the Province of Cagayan.

The festivity offered a blend of culture, adventure, and all in between.

As part of the celebrations, events such as Little Miss Tuao, Parabur Dance Festival, and Search for Mr. and Miss Tuao 2024 are set on August 16, August 17, and August 18, respectively, at the Leonardo N. Mamba Gymnasium 2. Jessica M. Bacud

The celebration is also expected to highlight the province’s triumphs, its booming agricultural economy, and its unique blend of cultures. A Fiesta Mass will also take place at San Roque Parish Church on August 19.
