Tingog opens new Criminology building in ESSU-Maydolong

The Eastern Samar State University (ESSU)-Maydolong campus has unveiled its new Criminology Building last Friday with the support of the Tingog party-list led by Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and the group's nominees in Congress, Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez, and Rep. Jude Acidre.

The launch is a testament to the school’s efforts to enhance its educational infrastructure to provide quality education to its students, the Tingog party-list group said.

“The completion of this new building emphasizes our commitment to providing Filipinos with the best possible resources and facilities,” said Acidre. “It is in line with Tingog’s commitment to providing access to quality education as we believe it is important to invest in our youth’s education to further improve society, especially those part of the justice system.”

“Our support for ESSU's Criminology program reflects our dedication to fostering a safer and more just Philippines,” Acidre added.

The new building, with modern classrooms and facilities, will serve as a learning hub for criminology education and research, offering students a better learning environment to prepare them for a fruitful career.

Rev. Fr. Dan Gañas, Rev. Aaron  Amida, and Rev. Bryan Azura led the blessing ceremony, followed by the official ribbon-cutting, symbolizing the building’s readiness to welcome its first batch of students for the upcoming academic year.

“We hope this new building could help strengthen the Criminology program of ESSU to contribute to the development of competent professionals in the field of justice,” Acidre stressed.
