The Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested a Taiwanese fugitive in Pasay City as part of the government’s campaign against immigration violators.
BI agents, working with the National Bureau of Investigation, arrested Chien Wen-Chieh along Roxas Boulevard.

Authorities said Chien is wanted by the Taiwan Miaoli District Prosecutor’s Office, which issued an arrest warrant for theft on Aug. 31, 2023.
Immigration records showed he entered the Philippines in 2023 as a temporary visitor and overstayed his visa.
Chien was taken to the BI Warden Facility and is now facing deportation proceedings.
