Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro has filed a libel case against PCO USec Claire Castro today at the Balayan Regional Trial Court for allegedly spreading fake news and libelous statements about her solar business.
“I filed a case against USec Castro for spreading “fake news” and libelous statements about my solar business. I don’t want to hurt USec Castro. I just need to defend my name. That’s why I filed a civil case so she won’t be sent to jail,” Leviste said.

Leviste clarified that he did not sell the solar business franchise, but a separate company without a franchise. The company he sold has land in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan and he did not receive a single peso from the government. All his money came from private businesses.
