THE Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) eyes the development of a central business district (CBD) designed to serve as the facility’s hub for commerce, services, and community activities.
AFAB spokesperson Hazel Elloren said the projected CBD will feature a mix of modern facilities, including a shopping mall, a hotel, office buildings, multi-storey parking, commercial complexes, and a commercial condominium.

She said the expansions will cover 23,000 square meters of land.
Other planned developments included a 16-hectare golf course, a boardwalk, and a 12,000-square-meter commercial and recreational strip along the Freeport’s waterfront.
