CAAP cites expanded exam services for airmen in 2025

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has expanded its examination services in 2025, with a “remarkable” total of 59,854 individual examination subjects administered to airmen across the nation.

These subjects encompass various knowledge areas necessary for airmen certification, leading to the issuance of 8,767 Knowledge Test Reports (KTRs) to those who successfully completed all required examinations, the CAAP said Wednesday.

To enhance access to these vital services, CAAP has established an Airmen Examination Board Examination Center at CAAP Mactan-Cebu, which commenced operations in November 2025.

The center is part of broader plans to open additional examination facilities in Davao City and Clark, Pampanga, aimed at alleviating congestion at the Manila exam center and improving service accessibility for regional candidates, the agency said.

These initiatives are driven by directives from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., underscoring CAAP’s commitment to timely certification for airmen.

“By expanding our regional test centers, we ensure that more airmen can receive timely certification while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism, helping future-proof Philippine aviation for generations to come,” CAAP Director General Raul Del Rosario said.
