US involvement in Israel-Iran war could spark WW3 – Ping

Senator-elect Panfilo Lacson has expressed concern over the Trump administration’s “unprecedentedly dangerous” bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying the move could get draw other nations into the conflict, possibly even sparking World War 3.

“US President Trump’s unprecedentedly dangerous move to ‘obliterate’ Iran’s highly fortified nuclear facilities, if it is as factual as he has described, could trigger a world war on a scale that nobody has ever witnessed or read about,” he said.

“Ancient history has taught us about Persia’s ability to recover with deadly vengeance,” Lacson added.

Over the weekend, President Donald Trump announced that the US had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, insisting that Iran must agree to end its conflict with Israel.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on X that his nation “reserves all options” in responding to the attack.

The returning senator urged Philippine authorities to solidify the necessary evacuation and contingency plans for the more than two million Filipinos deployed in the Middle East who may be affected by the worsening conflict.

“Back here at home, I trust that concerned government agencies have already put workable evacuation and contingency plans in place for the more than two million overseas Filipino workers currently deployed in the Middle East,” Lacson said.
