THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has collected over P8.3 billion in revenues for the first quarter of 2025 alone.
LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II credited the high revenue collection to the agency’s “strategic policy implementation” ensuring transaction efficiency and the aggressive implementation of road safety rules and regulations.
“LTO this year has a huge revenue target, and we just did not dream about it since we believe that we really can achieve it,” he said.
The agency has set P34 billion as revenue target for 2025.
As of March 31, the agency’s collection has already exceeded the P8-billion mark.
Mendoza underscored the need for revenue collection efficiency to generate funds that would not only further improve the services of the LTO, but also provide more funds in all government programs and projects that would benefit the Filipino people, particularly the poor and marginalized sector.
He commended all agency employees for their dedication and hard work over the past three months for revenue collection efficiency.
“At this rate, we can really achieve our revenue target, and that I am optimistic that we would even surpass this. With our hard work and cooperation to achieve our goal, we can do it,” he said.
He said leadership does not only focus on the improvement of services but also ensuring the morale of the LTO personnel, including initiatives for job security.
