California charged Filipino-American Kyle Chester De Los Reyes, 23, with three counts of murder after the fatal stabbing of his three relatives in Baldwin Park.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced its findings on December 31, 2024.
“He (De Los Reyes) faces special allegations of use of a deadly weapon and committing multiple murders,” it said.
The charges stemmed from the December 26 murder of his three relatives, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman. De Los Reyes is being held without bail.
“My office will work tirelessly to ensure that justice is served in this devastating act of violence, which has shaken our community and left a family forever changed,” Hochman was quoted saying in media reports.
“Violent crime not only robs us of innocent lives but also threatens the very fabric of our community,” he added.
De Los Reyes is scheduled for arraignment on January 15, 2025.
