The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will suspend operations of the Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) on December 24, 25, and 30, as well as on January 1 — all declared holidays.
The ferry will also operate for half a day on December 31, a special non-working holiday.
“The operations of PRFS will remain regular on December 23, 26, 27, and 28,” the MMDA said in its latest advisory.
The PRFS serves an average of 300 to 440 passengers a day. Currently, it has 17 boats with free rides for commuters.
The ferry service operates daily between the cities of Pasig and Manila from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 11 stations: Pinagbuhatan, San Joaquin, and Maybunga in Pasig; Guadalupe and Valenzuela in Makati; Hulo in Mandaluyong; and Lambingan, Sta. Ana, PUP Sta. Mesa, Lawton, and Escolta in Manila.
