Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief General Romeo Brawner Jr. led a tribute ceremony for fallen soldiers at Camp Aguinaldo.
As part of the celebrations for the AFP’s 89th Founding Anniversary, the ceremony honored the bravery and service of the AFP’s heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty to protect the sovereignty of the Philippines.
“Their sacrifices will continue to live on within each one of us. The heroic sacrifice, anchored on the core values of honor, service, and patriotism which they exemplified, is our reminder to live and serve by these standards,” said General Brawner.
Accompanied by senior military officials, General Brawner paid his respects by laying wreaths at the memorial, which symbolizes the courage and valor of AFP personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.
The 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division of the Philippine Army also joined in commemorating fallen heroes at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
