Bato chase turned into viral game ‘Senate Run’

An indie app builder created a free online game simulating Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa being chased by National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents inside the Senate building, as popularly captured by CCTV footage.

Developed and designed by Joniffer Mandac, the game is a fictional parody made for entertainment purposes only.

It features a cartoon version of Dela Rosa running through the Senate against obstacles like NBI agents and wet floor signs.

The player loses if they touch any of the obstacles, leading to a “Game Over” screen with the senator being served an arrest warrant by the NBI.

“Senate got so chaotic I accidentally turned it into a game,” the game’s creator posted on TikTok.

To play the game, online users may access the following link: senate-run.vercel.app

It is currently web browser-based only, “maybe for now,” meaning it won’t be available on Google Play or App Store, as the developer cited fees.
