The Philippine Army (PA) inaugurated its Project Management and Modernization Center (PMMC) to strengthen the organization’s goal of building a modern, capable, and responsive land force.
“The deactivation of the Project Management Office (PMO) and activation of PMMC did not come without its challenges, as it requires us to let go of other officers who have performed exceptionally well and served our Army with utmost dedication,” Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido stated in his keynote remarks during the ceremony.
“However, with the evolution of our operational concepts, we must adapt our approach to better align with the demands of our time,” the Army Chief added.
Brig. Gen. Alexei C. Musñgi has been designated as the inaugural director of PMMC, which will play a vital role in ensuring that project management, equipment acquisition, and infrastructure development align with the Philippine Army’s and AFP’s strategic objectives, as well as government procurement laws.
