PNP-CIDG files sedition raps vs Quiboloy coddlers

The Philippine National Police (PNP) through the Criminal Investigation and Detection (CIDG) led by Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III filed sedition and inciting to sedition complaints on Thursday against the lawyers and key allies of detained Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

Among the respondents include legal counsel Israelito Torreon, former National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson Lorraine Badoy, and 11 others in connection with the controversial arrest of the megachurch leader in Davao City.

Torre, who previously served as chief of PNP-Davao, led policemen during the tense two-week search for Quiboloy and his co-accused who went into hiding in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City.

The KOJC leader and his followers eventually surrendered to law enforcement authorities, which included members of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) on September 8.
