Greetings are in store for Friday’s birthday celebrant, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., from his colleagues in the Philippine government.
Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, representing the lower chamber, extended birthday greetings to his first cousin.
“On behalf of the House of Representatives, I wish you continued success, good health, and the strength to keep moving our beloved nation forward. May this year bring even more outstanding achievements and fulfillment,” Romualdez said.
“The leadership you provide continues to inspire us, and we are honored to walk this meaningful journey alongside you. Your steadfast dedication to the Filipino people shines through in every action you take,” he added.
On a personal note, the Leyte (1st District) Rep. said he is filled with pride “having had the privilege of witnessing (Marcos’) journey over the years.”
“On this special day, I extend my warmest greetings and deepest appreciation for the remarkable leader and individual you have become. Happiest birthday, Mr. President!” Romualdez said.
Makati City Mayor Abigail Binay on Friday also joined thousands of residents in celebrating the “Araw ng Pangulo.”
“On this special day, we celebrate our President’s birthday and recognize his unwavering commitment to serving the nation. President Marcos continues to inspire us all, and we wish him better health, happiness, and success in all his endeavors for the country,” Binay said.
During the event, 2,130 Makati residents received P5,000-financial assistance through the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) program, showcasing the government’s dedication to supporting its citizens, especially those in need.
“This financial assistance is not just a mere payout; it represents the care and concern of our government for every Filipino, particularly the most vulnerable in our society,” Binay said.
Meanwhile, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos penned a heartfelt birthday greeting for her husband: “Happy 67th birthday to the sweetest and kindest soul I’ve ever known.”
“I’m so proud of everything you’ve accomplished, and through it all, you’ve remained the same tender-hearted, compassionate person who first captured my heart. I love you to the moon and back, and I always will,” Liza said.
