First Lady Marcos opens Presidential Museum in Baguio City

First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos led the opening of the Presidential Museum at the Mansion House in Baguio City on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Mrs. Marcos together with other national and local government executives also graced the opening of the Mansion Gates to welcome the public at the official residence of the President in the City of Pines.

The Presidential Museum features galleries showcasing each of the country’s past presidents and their accomplishments.

This aims to let the audience learn more about the Presidents of the Philippines and their historical timelines, artifacts, and memorabilia from their respective tenures. The museum also features the President’s Office, the Presidential Hall, and a gift shop.

The Mansion House has been a popular tourist spot known for its rich historical heritage and architecture. It is expected to draw more visitors with the added features of the Presidential Museum.

The Presidential Museum is open to the public, including walk-in visitors, and will be free of charge. Those interested to visit, however, are advised to book through their website or their social media pages.

Also present at the opening ceremonies for the Presidential Museum were Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara, Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, and National Artist Kidlat Tahimik.

Other government officials, local artists, teachers, cultural workers, and Baguio City tourists witnessed the activities.
